Bryce Harper, a 28-year-old right fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies, made his MLB debut with the Nationals on April 28, 2012, at the age of 19. Bryce was selected to play in the 2012 All-Star Game, becoming the youngest player to perform in an All-Star Game. In 2015, Bryce was awarded the title of National League (NL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) at 23, becoming the youngest MLB player to win the award. During the 2018-19 offseason, Harper signed a 13-year, $330 million contract with the Phillies, one of the largest contracts in the history of North American sports during that time.
Bryce didn’t start dating his hometown honey Kayla until his rookie year in 2012. Kayla Varner (now Harper), also 28, used to play soccer at Brigham Young University before transferring to Ohio State University. The couple became engaged in 2014 and were set to marry in 2015, but the wedding was called off for unknown reasons. The two reconciled in July 2016 and officially married in December of that same year. The pair welcomed their first child, a boy, who was born in Las Vegas — the two’s hometown — in August of 2019, and their second child, a girl, was born in November of 2020.

During a shoot for a MLB 2K12 commercial, Verlander decided to make a move on Kate Upton, model and actress, who has been on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2012, 2013, and 2017. The two started dating in 2014 and tied the knot in November of 2017, two days after he won the World Series with the Astros.
